DRO MODE OF OPERATION

4.2.1 CONE CALCULATION
This function calculates the conic characteristics of a part. To do so it is necessary to
define two points of the part’s profile.
This calculation can be carried out either with absolute or incremental position values
(coordinates).
Follow these steps to select this function:

Press
and select “SPECIAL FUNCTIONS”.

Select “CONE CALCULATION”.
Indicate the two axes which form the main axes where the cone calculation will be
carried Out.
It is required to know two profile points. Follow these steps to get those two points:

Touch one of the points to be measured and press the ACCEPT softkey.
During this operation all the other axes except the one forming the main plane can
be moved.
The bottom of the screen will show at all times the positions of the selected axes.
Press the EXIT softkey to cancel quit this mode during or after this operation.

Touch the other point to be measured and press the ACCEPT softkey.
