MACHINE PARAMETERS
3.1 INTRODUCTION
The VNP400 can be easily matched to the machine by setting its machine parameters.
They indicate the type of feedback being used, the counting direction, the display
resolution, leadscrew errors to be compensated, etc.
These values may be introduced by hand from the keyboard or from a peripheral device
via the optional RS 232C serial port.
To transmit data via the RS 232 port, press the
key to obtain the
“COMMUNICATIONS” operating mode. The receptor unit must be ready to receive
before starting the transmission.
