Downloading a SMPTE program to
the Remote Show Controller (RSC)
In order to run a SMPTE program on a
Remote Show Controller (RSC), you must
first record the show on a
PSC, then download the completed show to the RSC.
Note: Once you have downloaded a show, the only way to modify it is to upload
it from the RSC to the PSC, make the desired modifications, then download it
again.
Follow these steps to download a show from the
PSC to the RSC:
1.
Press [Set Up].
2.
Select 18,
Download show to RSC
, then press [Enter].
3.
Press [Enter] again to proceed with download, or press [Clear] to cancel
the download operation.
Uploading a SMPTE program from
the Remote Show Controller (RSC)
Since the
RSC has no user interface, once you have downloaded a show to the
RSC, the only way to modify it is to upload it from the RSC to the PSC, make the
desired modifications, then download it again.
Follow these steps to upload a show from the
RSC to the PSC:
1.
Press [Set Up].
2.
Select 19,
Upload show from RSC
, then press [Enter].
3.
Press [Enter] again to proceed with download, or press [Clear] to cancel
the download operation.
Using the ESCS to play back SMPTE events
Once you have recorded a series of cues in a SMPTE program, the
ESCS auto-
matically runs the program in response to SMPTE time code.
Follow these steps to run an automated SMPTE program on an
RSC or PSC:
1.
Check that the dimmer output cables are securely connected to the
connectors labeled
DMX1
and/or
DMX2
, that the SMPTE input cable is
connected to the connector labeled
SMPTE in
and that the AC power cord
is connected to the connector labeled
AC input
.

Start the flow of SMPTE data
