Maintenance panel
Both the
Programmable Show Controller (PSC) and Remote Show Controller
(RSC) feature a Maintenance panel on their front panel. The Maintenance panel
consists of eight buttons, an LCD display and six indicator LEDs. It allows you to
control recorded SMPTE events manually and run macros 636 through 640.
Note: If you have not recorded macros 636 through 640, pressing the macro
buttons on the Maintenance panel has no effect.
Manual SMPTE controls
The Maintenance panel allows you to control SMPTE events manually via the
three buttons labeled
Manual, Pause
and
Step.
Manual
Press [Manual] to interrupt the input of SMPTE time code and reset the
Expres-
sion Show Control System to the first recorded SMPTE event.
Manual
appears
in the LCD display to indicate that the
Expression Show Control System is in
manual mode
. Then press [Step] to play back the first recorded SMPTE event.
Press [Step] once to play back each subsequent SMPTE event. Press [Manual]
again to return to normal operation.
Pause
Press [Pause] to interrupt the input of SMPTE time code without resetting the
Expression Show Control System to the first recorded SMPTE event.
Pause
appears in the LCD display to indicate that the
Expression Show Control System
is in Pause mode. Press [Step] to play back the next recorded SMPTE event.
Press [Step] once to play back each subsequent SMPTE event. Press [Pause]
again to return to normal operation.
Step
[Step] allows you to play back individual SMPTE events in either Manual or
Pause mode. Each time you press [Step] the next consecutive SMPTE event
plays back.
Macros
The buttons labeled
M636, M637, M638, M639, and M640 allow you to play
back macros 636, 637, 638, 639, and 640 respectively. Press the desired button
to start the corresponding macro.
Note: You should press either [Manual] or [Pause] to interrupt SMPTE input
before using the macro buttons.
