Firmware Updates
6.3.1
Update Procedure
Firmware updates are provided as USB keys, or as files which must be placed on a
fresh USB key.
Take the following steps for updating your device:
stop all encoding/transcoding channels.
reboot the device (you may do this remotely via the Wind Down tabbed page of
the Web-based GUI).
wait until device is up again.
Plug the firmware update USB memory stick on one of the device’s USB ports, as
shown in
.

Wait at least three minutes. Then the device reboots itself. Don’t remove the key
before automatic reboot.
At this point, you may remove the USB key. Wait until the device is up again, check
that all settings are correct in your updated device, and go back to normal operation.
Note:
Any USB port can be used to connect the USB memory stick containing the
upgrade.
