Software Licensing and Upgrades
6.1 Introduction
In its normal process of constantly improving its products quality, Ericsson may
provide software and firmware updates to its customers.
Notes: Current License information is displayed in the License page under the
Advanced tab.
Hardware and Firmware information is displayed in the Device Status
Tabbed page under the Advanced tab.
6.2 Licenses
By default the product supports SDI in and out. The Encoder also supports input of
Transport Streams over IP, but no license is required for this. On the Decoder, TS
over IP can be provided and a license is charged for this.
On the Encoder file storage license allows for a single USB drive to be connected to
the back of the unit to store the highest defined profile to be stored. However as the
file can be uploaded or the USB disk removed at the end of transmission no license
is required on the Decoder side.
