Bitrate adaptation
policy This parameter offers
different methods for
choosing a variant stream
amongst available ones. The following policies are
available:
Use Bandwidth Adaptation : the
most appropriate stream will be
chosen, according to both the
current estimated bandwidth and
the current internal buffer level.
Force Target Bitrate :
the stream whose bitrate is the
nearest of the "Target Bitrate" will
be chosen. The current estimated
bandwidth is NOT taken into
account.
Force Maximum Bitrate : the
stream with the highest bit rate
Transport Protocol Allows selection between
HTTP and UDP modes
When UDP is selected, FEC is
available
Estimated
bandwidth Displays the bandwidth
estimate currently used
by the input when
choosing a variant stream
Estimated round-
trip time Displays the HTTP round-
trip time estimate
Effective download
rate Displays the current
effective download bit
rate This should be equal to the mean
of the bit rate of the current
chosen input streams (audio +
video)
Video profile
selected
Dash status
Buffer fill level
