At the end of the EDS Wizard:
Click the <Test> button
Save the EDS file with an appropriate name eg. ATmega163.eds

The EDS Window will now launch – see section 2.5.4
2.5.3 Testing an existing Programming Project in a Project Collection in
EDS (Development Mode)
If you have already created a Programming Project and want to test it in EDS (Development Mode),
please follow the steps below:

From the left-hand pane, select
<Project Manager>
•
Select
<Open Collection>
•
Browse to and select a Project Collection (*.ppc) file

Project Collection File launches in
Project Manager

Select the Programming Project you wish to test in EDS
•
Click
the
<Test Project in EDS>
button at the bottom right of the
Project Manager
window

The EDS window now launches with all the settings of the select Programming Project –
see section 2.5.4
