MIB Tree
Use the following SNMP commands with the MIB variables:
◆
get
— Retrieves the value of variables at the agent.
◆
set
— Sets the value of variables at the agent.
◆
trap
— Notifies the management station of significant events.
Each group and variable in a MIB is assigned a numerical address.
You can enter commands with variables specified as a name or a
number. For example:
get {root, iso, org, dod, internet, mgmt, mib-2, system}
or
get {root, 1, 3, 6, 1, 2, 1, 1}
