Full-electronic HV-Tester F1-1x Typs
11.3 Setting parameters BURN (Option)
BURN with AC voltage, for the localisation of low insulation points inside
the test object. By the over-flash of the voltage, it is possible, to welding
out the insulation fault. The maximum short-circuit current at BURN is:
appr. 250 mA in 2,5 kV range and appr. 150 mA in 5 kV range.
The BURN mode, don't ensures a non destructive testing, since the tripping
current release is blocked. Use the BURN function only for the localisation
an welding out of low insulation points.
At devices with integrated options, the parameter of BURN are maybe
different. See also Chapt. 14 Options..

11.3.1 TEST VOLTAGE
Voltage range „2.5 / 5.0 kV AC
2.5 AC
- low voltage range.
5.0 AC
- high voltage range.
Test voltage „2.5 / 5.0 kV“
- enter the test voltage for the Burn function.
For example:
low
voltage range
0,1 ... 2.5 kV AC
high
voltage range
0.2... 5.0 kV AC
Minimum voltage „on/off“
- activates the test voltage monitoring. The
test voltage must not drop below the defined minimum voltage during
the test time. If this is the case, the device indicates U>Umin.
off
- no minimum voltage monitoring.
on
- minimum voltage monitoring active.
Minimum voltage (kV)
- the voltage must not drop below the pre-defined
minimum voltage during the test time.
