Full-electronic HV-Tester F1-1x Typs
Automatic check of the safety current limitation
Two redundant and self-monitored current limitation systems are integrated
into the high voltage tester, for reducing the test current on a harmless
value according EN 50191 (VDE 0104). If one of the current limitation
systems is fail, the other system is recognize this. The tester is going to
fault mode and no test starts are possible.
When switching ON the device, a function test of the current limitation
systems is carried out automatically. The duration time of the test is 1 to
10 s, depending of the option of the device.
Note:
Only if this test is successful, a switch ON of the high voltage at the
test is possible.
Note:
The self check of the safety current limitation should be carried
out at periodical times. To this the device should at least be switched on
once newly on the day.
Note
: At earthbound test voltage, the internal leakage current of the de-
vice, is reducing the test current. At floating
test voltage, the test current
is reaching the full 3 mA.
