Create Recordings for the InterAACT Page Sets

The InterAACT page sets that are pre-installed on your M3 device do not feature any professional sound
recordings. They provide the framework and communication contexts for you to make your own recordings.
As you navigate through the InterAACT pages, you will need to make custom recordings for the pre-
programmed buttons.

Additionally, the InterAACT pages provide space for you to add your own individualized content and the
corresponding recordings. DynaVox encourages the customization of content on the M3 device so that this
system reflects the user’s interests and personality.

By creating all of the InterAACT recordings yourself, you will establish a consistent voice for the augmented
communicator, in a familiar tone and dialect. Your recordings can reflect the appropriate regional
pronunciations and colloquialisms. You will also develop a deeper familiarity with the InterAACT framework
and content, both pre-programmed and customized.

InterAACT Page Sets

There are five age categories in the InterAACT framework:

2-6 years old

7-13 years old

14-21 years old

22-50 years old

Adult

50+ years old

The M3 software contains a 6-button page set and a 12-button page set for each of these age categories.
Each page set contains a master page (or facilitator page) that provides access to several age-appropriate
communication contexts, such as home, school or work, and leisure activities. Each of these pages link to
quick vocabulary and also to more concise categories about that context. Most of these pages contain blank
buttons, enabling you to enter your own vocabulary.

Every InterAACT page provides links to the master page for its page set, a page containing common
phrases, and a talk button for quick utterances that are applicable in all contexts.

DynaVox MightyMo/MiniMo Page Sets

The page sets that were supplied on the DynaVox MightyMo/MiniMo devices contain buttons that are
programmed to speak recorded messages immediately when they are selected. These pages (and
professional voice recordings) are provided on CD, and can be installed on your M3 device, if desired. For
step-by-step instructions, refer to the

Installing DynaVox MightyMo/MiniMo Page Sets and Recordings

document on the CD that came with your M3 device.
