Once you have installed the battery, you should be sure to charge the M3 device for at least 4 hours before
turning it on. To do this, follow the steps in the

Charging the Battery

section.

Charging the Battery

When the battery begins to run out of power, a small “low battery charge” icon will appear in the title bar
(refer to the picture under

Menus and the Title Bar

in

Section 3: Software Overview

). This icon indicates

that you should plug in your device and recharge the battery as soon as possible to avoid running out of
power. You can charge the battery by following these steps:

1.

Connect the power cord to the DC adapter charger.

2.

With your device turned off, plug the charger jack into the charger port on the left side of your
device.

3.

Plug the adapter into an electrical outlet.

The amber charging indicator LED above the device’s touch screen will light up to indicate that the battery is
being charged. It will take approximately 4 hours to fully charge the battery in a M3 device if the battery is
completely empty. It may take less time to charge the battery if it is not completely empty. When the battery
is fully charged, the charging indicator LED will go out.

Caution:

Because batteries use a chemical reaction, battery performance will deteriorate over

time even if stored for a long period of time without being used. In addition, if various usage
conditions such as charge, discharge, ambient temperature, etc. are not maintained within the
specified ranges, the life expectancy of the battery may be shortened or the device in which the
battery is being used may be damaged by electrolyte leakage. If the battery cannot maintain a
charge for long periods of time, even when it is charged correctly, this may indicate that it is time
to replace the battery.
