To specify what will happen when a symbol button is selected, select the
When a Button is
Selected
drop-down menu and then select one of the three available options:
z
Play Recording
- When you select a button, the M3 device will immediately play the
button’s recorded message.
z
Insert Button into Message Window
- When you select a button, the button’s label and
symbol will be sent to the Message Window. The button’s recorded message will be
spoken when you select the Message Window.
z
Insert Button and Play Recording
- When you select a button, the button’s label and
symbol will be sent to the Message Window, and the M3 device will immediately play the
button’s recorded message. The recorded message will be spoken again when you select
the Message Window.

To adjust the size of the label font in the buttons on the new page, select the
Font Size
drop-
down menu and then select one of the available options.

To choose a style for the buttons on the new page, select the
Button Style
drop-down menu
and then select one of the available options.

To specify whether labels should be placed at the top or the bottom of the buttons on the new
page, select the
Label Location
drop-down menu and then select one of the available options.

To adjust the width of the button borders on the new page, select the
Border Width
drop-down
menu and then select one of the available options.
10. The same basic steps can be used to select a new color for three parts of the button: the
background, the label font and the border. To select a new color for one of these areas, select
the
Button Color
button, the
Border Color
button or the
Button Text Color
button (the
Color
Selector
menu will open) and then complete the rest of this step:
10a. Select the color you want to use from the color swatch buttons. The large, square swatch
on the right side of the
Color Selector
menu will fill with the selected color.
10b. Select the
OK
button to close the
Color Selector
menu. In the
Make a New Page With..
.
menu, the button you selected will fill with the color you chose.
11. To add a Message Window to the new page, select the
Add Message Window?
check box.
12. To add a set of tab controls to the new page, select the
Add Tab Control?
check box.
