Connecting To The AUI Port
Continuing from step 2 of the Start Up procedure, perform the following procedure to
connect the ChannelWorks Bridge to the Ethernet network using the AUI port:
1. Push the slide latch of the ChannelWorks Bridge AUI port to the left.
2. Attach the Ethernet network’s AUI cable to the ChannelWorks Bridge AUI port.
3. Push the ChannelWorks Bridge AUI port’s slide latch to the right until it snaps into
the locking position, securing the connector and cable.
4. Gently pull on the cable to verify the latch is secure.
5. Select the AUI port by setting the Ethernet Port Selection Switch to the Out posi-
tion.
Caution - You risk damaging the ChannelWorks Bridge and causing network problems
if you attempt to connect more than one Ethernet media to the ChannelWorks Bridge at
the same time.
Achtung - Wenn Sie gleichzeitig mehr als einen Ethernet-Träger an ChannelWorks
anschließen, besteht die Gefahr, daß Sie die ChannelWorks-Brücke beschädigen und
Probleme in ihrem Netzwerk verursachen.
