Selecting The Communications Port
Perform the following procedure to select the serial port that connects your PC to the
ChannelWorks Bridge:
Note: This procedure assumes that you have performed the procedures in the “Installing The
LANcity Subscriber Utility on A PC” section and the procedures in the “Connecting A
PC to The ChannelWorks Bridge Serial Port” section.
1. With LCS displaying its Main Menu, click on Communication. The utility dis-
plays the Communications Pull Down Menu.
2. Click on Serial Port Connection. The utility displays the Serial Port Connection
window as shown in Figure 3-6.
3. Click on the COM number that your PC is using to connect to the bridge, and click
OK. The utility displays the Intialize The Serial Port Chosen screen.
4. Click on Yes. The utility prepares the port for LCS use and returns you to the
Main Menu.
