3.4
Hydraulic stabilising legs
: used to support and sta-
bilise the loading floor of the vehicle at the same level
during loading & unloading, thus avoiding damage to
the ramp and the vehicle chassis due to overload.
3.5
Mechanical support legs
: supports under the articu-
lation points in the middle of the platform.
They form an integral part of the strength of the plat-
form, and MUST be set in firm contact with solid
ground before the platform is loaded.
3.6
Overload relief system
: the platform should be ac-
cessed only when the platform point, the mechanical
support legs under the platform and the hydraulic sta-
bilising legs are in firm contact with the ground.
This system opens the hydraulic valves, drops down
the platform and protects the ramp from damage if the
platform is loaded without being fully deployed.
3.7
Hydraulic flow control
: the power pack is equipped
with a braking valve, retaining the opening speed with-
in legal boundaries.
3.8
Pressure relief valve
: protects the hydraulic system
of the ramp against too high pressure during the
CLOSE cycle.
3.9
Electric emergency stop
: allows to switch-off the
electric power to the control unit, and to cause an im-
mediate stop of all electrically actuated movements.
This stop is formed by a main isolator switch with re-
movable key integrated in the control box.
3.10
2-hand exterior control box
equipped with functional
control switches and a safety switch. The compulsory
use of the 2 hands to actuate the functions, protects
the operator from crushing his head or limbs between
the rear frame of the body and the closing platform.
