1.

Follow the instructions in "

Before Working Inside Your Computer

."  

 

 

  

2.

Remove the 

hard drive

.  

 

 

  

3.

Remove the 

optical drive

.  

 

 

  

4.

Remove the center control cover.  
 

 

  

5.

Remove the 

keyboard

.  

 

 

  

6.

Remove the 

display assembly

.  

 

 

  

7.

Remove the 

palm rest

.  

 

 

  

8.

Disconnect the PC Card connector from the system board.  
 

  

 

 

9.

Remove the four M2 x 3-mm screws that attach the PC Card reader cage to the top of the hard drive bay.
