Click on the row of an enabled channel to exit the analyzer overview and change the display to the selected
channel.

4.5.8 Running Tests With Battery Power

If powered only by its internal battery, the tablet will enter

doze mode

if the screen is switched OFF with

the power button. In doze mode, the tablet stops executing apps to save battery power.

Accordingly, when using Bluetooth communication and battery power, you should not switch the tablet
screen OFF while running a vPad-IV test at the same time. Although a final test result will always be
obtained and displayed when the tablet screen is switched back ON, while in doze mode the tablet may not
log intermediate measurements to memory. This may affect results if the purpose of the test is to acquire
data that is required for a IEC trumpet curve analysis.

Doze mode is inhibited when the tablet receives external power via its USB port. In this case, the vPad-IV
app will continue to log data to memory even if the tablet screen is switched OFF while a test is running.

When Bluetooth communication is being used, and if a test will require several minutes to an hour or more
to complete, consider powering the tablet with the battery charger provided with the vPad-IV system. This
will ensure all intermediate measurements will be recorded to the data log even if the tablet screen is
accidentally switched OFF during the test.

If the purpose of the test is to obtain a pass/fail result and there is no requirement to perform detailed
analysis of recorded data after the test is completed, then there are no special requirements for battery-
powered operation of vPad-IV. Users may switch the tablet screen OFF anytime under battery power, even
while vPad-IV tests are running on multiple channels simultaneously, and the pass/fail result of each test
will be shown after the tablet screen is switched back ON.
