Select a pass/fail Tolerance in percent from the pick-list according to the manufacturer's inspection
protocol or alternatively per the performance specifications of the device under test. If the test is stopped
when the
Set VTBI has been delivered, then the tolerance may be applied to the flow rate measured at the
end of the test, or to the volume delivered by the end of the test, or to both the measured rate and the
delivered volume. For other stop conditions, the tolerance applies to flow only since the volume is either
predetermined or the volume is not constrained by the test protocol.
Select the desired units of measure for
Back Pressure
and, if necessary, zero the reading if the pressure
applied to the Module is in fact zero. Refer to Section 4.3.3.6 on page 31 for further details on zeroing.
After zeroing, apply a back pressure to the DUT if this is required by the protocol, following instructions
given in Section 3.5.2 on page 19.
Once the settings are input, run the test with the Start button. If the objective is to determine a volume as
delivered from the device under test, start vPad-IV first , then start the infusion device. If the objective is to
determine accuracy of the flow produced by the device under test, you may want to start the infusion device
first, wait a period of time for the flow to stabilize, and then start vPad-IV after the delay. Refer to Section
4.5.3 on page 45 for more information on how the test begins after the
Start button is pressed.
4.3.4.2 Windowed data analysis
Windowed analysis of the test results may be optionally enabled in a Flow Rate Test.
