4.7 Saving Test Records

4.7.1 Overview of Test Records

When a test is completed, a

Test Record

of the results may be saved. Test Records are text files which are

stored by default in this folder on the vPad tablet:

Datrend/vPad-IV/Records

The above path may be changed via the

More Settings

menu of the app (see Section 4.8.7.4 on page 72 for

further details).

Test Records are saved with the

Save Test Record

menu (

Figure 42

). In addition to saving the

measurement results, this menu may be used to add work order information and labor-related information
to the Test Record before it is saved.

In addition to saving the Test Record, the

Save Test Record

menu enables you to save the current test

setup as an AutoSequence file on the tablet. The data log of the test may also be optionally saved. If label
printing has been enabled in the

vPad Settings

app, then you will be prompted to print an inspection or

"PM" tag after the Test Record is saved (see Section 4.8.4 on page 62 for more information on label printing
setup).
