Minimum required flow rate
Backup heater operation
No minimum required flow during
heating
INFORMATION
The flow rate of the central water loop circuit can vary up to 10% as a result of the
tolerance of the pressure independent control valve (PICV).
8.1.4 Changing the pre-pressure of the expansion vessel
NOTICE
ONLY a licensed installer may adjust the pre-pressure of the expansion vessel.
The expansion vessel is field supplied. For more information on how to change the
pre-pressure, see the manual of the expansion vessel.
Changing the pre-pressure of the expansion vessel should be done by releasing or
increasing nitrogen pressure through the Schrader valve of the expansion vessel.
8.2 Connecting the central water loop piping
NOTICE
The integrated central water loop valve is a pressure independent control valve
(PICV) which regulates the flow on the central water loop circuit. To guarantee a
correct operation of the unit, ensure that the least favoured unit (the unit furthest
away from the central pump) has a minimum of 33 kPa differential pressure
available. The maximum allowed differential pressure is 400 kPa.
8.2.1 About connecting the central water loop piping
Before connecting the central water loop piping
Make sure the indoor unit is mounted.
Typical workflow
Connecting the central water loop piping typically consists of the following stages:
1
Connecting the central water loop piping.
2
Connecting the central water loop expansion vessel.
3
Connecting the central water loop filling kit.
4
Filling the central water loop circuit.
5
Insulating the central water loop piping.
