Security

The
Device Settings > Security
panel (see the screenshot above) allows the user to
change security-related parameters. Each parameter will be explained below. After changing
any settings, click the
Apply
button to save your changes.
Force HTTPS for Web access
If this option is enabled, access to the web GUI is only possible using an HTTPS
connection. The DKVM-IP1 will not listen on the HTTP port for incoming
connections.
KVM encryption
This option controls the encryption of the RFB protocol. RFB is used by the Host
Console to transmit screen data from the Host computer to the Remote computer, and
keyboard and mouse data from the Remote computer back to the Host. If this options is
set to “Off”, no encryption will be used. If set to “Try” the applet will try to make an
encrypted connection. In case the encrypted connection fails for any reason, an
unencrypted connection will be used.
