Unit Reset
This section allows you to reset specific parts of the device, such as the settings for the keyboard
and mouse, USB, the video engine, and the entire DKVM-IP1 device itself. In the event of an
abnormal operation, the subsystems may be reset without resetting the entire DKVM-IP1.
Above: Click Maintenance > Unit Reset to view the Reset panel.
To reset a specific functionality, click on the related
Reset
button.
Clicking the
Reset
button in the
Reset Device
field
will reboot the entire DKVM-IP1 system. It will
close all current connections from the Host computer to any Remote computers. The whole
process will take about one minute. Resetting subsystems (e.g. the video engine) will take only a
few seconds and will not cause the device’s network connections to close.
NOTE:
Only the super user is allowed to reset the DKVM-IP1.
