The
Trunk Parameters
window displays the following fields:
Aggregate Num. of Trunks –
Indicates the number of trunks supported by the
device.
Aggregate Max Ports In Trunks –
Indicates the maximum number of ports that
can make up a trunk.
MIB Software version –
Indicates the MIB Software version currently running.
Trunk Table
The
Trunk Table
contains information specific to trunks including the ports that make up the
trunks. The Trunk Table allows network managers to assign ports to trunks. In order to assign a
trunk a port, the port must comply with the following requirements:
A Layer 3 interface is not configured on the port
.
A VLAN is not configured on the port.
A port is not assigned to a different trunk.
An available MAC address exists which can be assigned to a port.
Auto-negotiation mode is not configured on the port.
The port is in full-duplex mode.
All ports must operate at the same rate.
All ports must have the same ingress filtering and tagged modes.
All ports must have the same back pressure and flow control modes.
All ports must have the same priority.
All ports must have the same transceiver type.
