This menu permits the user to enter the LNB LO frequency for the up conversion. Entering a non-
zero value for LNB LO will cause the Rx-IF frequency menu to show LO and Satellite frequencies.
The
Mix
sets the polarity for the upconversion mix in the LNB:
•
High
indicates a high side, inverting mix;
•
Low
indicates a low side, non-inverting mix.
Satellite frequency = LO fre/- modem frequency.
Select the parameter to edit using the

arrow keys. The valid LO range is 3000 to 65000
MHz; the available options are shown in parentheses. Use the

arrow keys to edit the setting,
then press
ENTER
when done.

5.10.3 ODU: FSK-control
Communication to the ODUs is achieved using a low-speed, half-duplex FSK link.
For the Transceivers:
On the Rx IF port, with a carrier frequency around 2.7 MHz.
To a ‘smart’ BUC’:
On the Tx IF port, with a carrier frequency around 650 kHz.
ODU Control= FSK=On (Off,On)
ODU Type:None (None,BUC)
(

If FSK is
enabled
using the

arrow keys, the second line is updated to show the possible
devices that could be attached and hence controlled via FSK:
•
BUC – see
Section 5.10.4
•
CSAT – see
Section 5.10.7
•
