5.10 SELECT: ODU
The CDM-625 modem is able to interface with various ODUs (Outdoor Units). These are:
•
Comtech RF Transceivers: CSAT-5060, KST-2000 series
•
L-band BUC (Block Up Converter)
•
L-band LNB (Low Noise Block).
Configuration menus allow the user to set up power supplies, a 10 MHz reference and low/high
current alarm thresholds for the BUC and LNB. LO menus for the BUC and LNB allow the user
to set up the up-convert and down-convert parameters for the BUC and LNB so that the user can
view the satellite frequencies as well as the modem IF input/output frequencies.
BUCs, CSAT and KST transceivers may be controlled and monitored via an FSK link.

BUC:PwRef
Provides access to menus to enter a Tx LO frequency, and to control a
10MHz reference and for Power supply control and alarm limits.
LNB:PwRef
Provides access to menus to enter an Rx LO frequency, and to control a
10MHz reference and for Power supply control and alarm limits.
FSK-control
Provides access to menus to monitor and control BUC or CSAT/KST
parameters.
5.10.1 ODU: BUC:PwRef (Power Supply and Reference)
BUC control/monitor (non-FSK):
PSU-and-10MHz LO-freq PSUmonitor (
