The CDM-625 modem is designed to be a ‘drop-in’ replacement for the CDM-600 and CDM-600L
modems. To be able to do this, the CDM-625 has an emulation mode, which may be configured via
remote control (using the remote command mnemonic
EMU)
, or via the front panel,

When the modem is emulating another, the top level menu will indicate this, as shown below.
Note:
While emulating another modem (CDM-600 or CDM-600L), the I/O responses, including
EID
, are exactly as those expected for that modem.
