Oil Pressure Sensor
Removal & Installation
5.3L & 6.0L Engines
To Remove:
1. Remove the intake manifold from the engine.
2. Disconnect the oil pressure sensor connector.
Oil pressure sensor removal and installation
3. Use a J 41712 oil pressure sensor socket to remove the oil pressure sensor from
the engine.
To Install:
1. Apply sealant GM P/N 12346004 to the oil pressure sensor threads.
2. Use a J 41712 oil pressure sensor socket to install the oil pressure sensor into the
engine. Torque the sensor to
26 ft-lb (35 Nm)
.
3. Connect the oil pressure sensor connector.
4. Install the intake manifold onto the engine.
