7) Remove the DC controller box. Refer to "Chapter 10 Removing DC con-
troller PCB" in the Service Manual.
3. Replacement procedure
1) Disconnect the relay connector [1] of the waste toner buffer.

2) Remove the 4 flywheels [1].
- 8 screws (W sems) [2]

3) Detach the 2 harness guides [1].
- 14 wire saddles of the harness guide [1]
- 4 screws [2]

4) Detach the drum driver PCB unit [1]. (1 each for each color)
- 1 wire saddle [2]
- 5 connectors [3]
- 2 screws [4]
- 1 harness [5] (only at the front side of [1])

5) To disconnect the drum waste toner connecting pipe (Bk) [1], pull out the
upper side of the harness guide [2] forward.
- 19 connectors [3]
- 3 wire saddles [4]
- 3 screws [5]
- 10 clamps of the harness guide [2] CAUTION: Points to Note When Handling the Drum Gear
Never make a scar on the drum gear [1] in the subsequent steps. Scars on
the drum gear [1] may result in the fault in output image.

CAUTION:
If hard to pull out the harness guide [2], remove the relay connector for the
harness at the front of the guide.
