2) Re move the Proc ess Unit. Refer to " Chapter 7 R emoving the Process
Unit" in the Service Manual.
3. Replacement procedure
1) Push the Primary Exhaust Duct (Lower) [1] from the bottom side to re-
move it.

- 2 Hooks [3]

2) Remove the Suction Duct [1] in the direction of the arrow.
- 1 Screw [2]
- 1 Protrusion [3]
- 1 Hook [4]

3) Remove the process unit driver PCB cover [1].
- 4 screws [2]

4) Remove the wire saddle [1] to disconnect the relay connector [2].
5) Put the cable [3] through the opening [4].
CAUTION: Points to Note at Installation/Removal:
If the black harness is pulled by the hook of the Primary Exhaust Duct
(Lower), the connector [1] may be disconnected. Be sure to check that the
connector is connected properly.
CAUTION:
When installing the Primary Exhaust Duct (Lower), be sure to insert
the 2 Hooks of the Primary Exhaust Duct (Lower) properly. If the
Light-blocking Plate of the Primary Exhaust Duct (Lower) is not
oriented in the correct direction, the laser light path may be blocked
and the drum may not be irradiated by the laser.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to catch the wire [5] with the hook [4].
