b. Rotate adjustment yoke clockwise until difficulty
is experienced when engaging clutch.
c. Disengage clutch.
Step 10:
Install driving ring to center driving plate (13).
a. Place the driving ring from the engine flywheel
into the teeth of the driving plate (either 1-pc. or
3-pc. version).
.
b. Center the driving plate(s) to the floating plate
and engage the clutch to maintain this centered
position.
c. Remove driving ring from the driving plate.
!
CAUTION
The clutch must remain engaged until the PTO
and clutch assembly is installed back onto the
engine. Failure to do so will result in a lack of
alignment of the driving plate teeth to the driving
ring teeth, making installation extremely difficult,
or damaging the teeth.
Step 11:
Connect grease fitting (22) to the clutch housing.
Step 12:
Install the pilot bearing (3) into the crankshaft of the
engine, assuring it bottoms out.
Step 13:
Inspect driving ring gear for wear. Install the driving
ring onto the flywheel using thread sealant on the
bolts. Torque bolts in an alternating pattern to 20
lb-ft (27 N•m) each.
Step 14:
Check for load on crankshaft.
a. Measure the distance between the end of the
clutch shaft and the housing mounting surface.
b. Make sure distance does not exceed 3-7/8" +0
-1/16" (9.8 cm +0 -0.16 cm).
