Maintenance, Cleaning and Disinfection

18.4 Performing Functional Tests
Users will need to perform the functional tests listed in the table.
Battery
Remove the battery from the driving unit or battery
charging unit. Only remove one battery from the driving
unit at a time.
Do not immerse the battery.
Cover electrical contacts.
Battery charging unit
Disconnect the battery charging unit from mains power.
Remove the batteries.
Cover electrical contacts.
Do not immerse the battery charging unit.
Power supply unit
Disconnect from mains power and connected device.
Remove the cable.
Cover electrical contacts.
Do not immerse the power supply unit.
Cable wrap
Remove the cable wrap.
If cleaning and disinfection are not possible, replace
the cable wrap.
USB cable, adapter for
external alarm (nurse
call), power supply
cable
Disconnect the cable from the connected device and
from mains power.
Cover electrical contacts.
Panel PC
Disconnect from mains power and the docking station.
Switch off the panel PC.
Close the USB port cover.
Caddy
Remove the driving unit and accessory bag.
Pull out the handle for cleaning and disinfection.
Remove the wheels if necessary.
Accessory Bag
Remove the accessory bag from the caddy.
Empty the bag.
Use a soft brush to remove any contamination.
Stroller Board
Remove the driving unit.
Remove the accessory bag.
Disconnect the stroller board from the stroller.
