Splitting Start Page
The Splitting Start Page control allows the
user to select which side the image should
be taken from if the Splitting
feature is
activated. The user can select ‘Left’ to
designate from the left side of the specified
area; or ‘Right’ to designate from the right
side of the specified area.
The resulting image’s file name is auto-
generated and consists of the word ‘scan’,
the date and time the scan was requested,
and a lowercase ‘l’ (left) or ‘r’ (right)
depending on what the operator specified
as the start page (e.g.
scan_2008-04-
24_17-03-51r.jpg).
To get an image of the
opposite side, click the Scan button again.

Access Level - Poweruser
Unlike the User access level, the Poweruser access level is password protected. The default
user name and password are “Poweruser”.
Note
Please note that both the user name and the password are case-sensitive and that
the first letter of both must be typed using upper case.
The Setup Device screen is separated into the following sections:
Device Information; Base
Settings; Updates & Uploads; Adjustments & Support;
and
Administrative Settings.

From this screen the Poweruser can also reset the scanner to the Stand-by screen (
Figure 3.1
)
by clicking the
System Shutdown
button.
