The Web-based Scan Application can also be launched by clicking the large, rectangular button
found in the middle of the Login Level screen (
Figure 7.3
).
The
Back
button will navigate back one screen.
The options available from the Login Level screen are access controlled. There are 3 different
access levels: User; Poweruser; and Admin. Logging in as one of these access levels displays
a Setup Device screen, from which scanner information can be obtained and scanner
configuration occurs (e.g. operating the scanner over a network). Adjustment controls are
accessible from some of the Setup Device screens as well.
Note
Admin access is reserved for BBH personnel and BBH Authorized Service Personnel
only and therefore is not documented in this manual.
The options available to each of the access levels differ (i.e. the User access level controls the
least amount of options, while the Poweruser access level controls most available options);
therefore, the Setup Device screen is different for each.
Note
There is no logout or logoff function for the Web-based Interface. To ensure
password security is enabled, the browser window must be closed completely after a
Poweruser or Admin login has occurred.
7.1.1
Access Level - User
The User access level is the only one of the three access levels that does not require a user
name and password.
Although most system-level settings can be performed only by the Poweruser and Admin, there
are some basic system-level settings available to the User access level. System information
such as power up time, remaining lamp life time and firmware version can also be displayed
from the User access level.
The Setup Device screen for the User access level is separated into two parts:
Information
; and
User Settings
. From this screen the User can also reset the scanner to the Stand-by screen
(
Figure 3.2
) by clicking the
System Shutdown
button.
