Running a Control
After performing the installation functions, the instrument is ready to measure the light intensity
patterns and calculate the particle size distribution. The above steps are recommended when
analyzing a sample in order to obtain consistent and accurate results. The selection of the controls
(provided by Beckman Coulter) to be used will depend on the sample module being used and are
listed in
. The following section describes the procedure to follow in order to verify the
operation of the instrument by running a control sample.
