Installation

Installation Requirements

It is recommended that a surge protector be used to ensure correct operation in the presence of
electrical transients and noise. At least three 3-wire service outlets are needed for the instrument
with its computer, monitor and printer.

Sample Modules Specific Requirements

Suspension Fluid for Aqueous and Universal Liquid Modules

IMPORTANT

Ensure that the material being sized and the suspension fluid do not violate any hazard waste

or clean water discharge regulations.

The Aqueous Liquid Module requires clean, bubble-free liquid as suspension fluid. Regular tap water
that is filtered and degassed can be used. Beckman Coulter recommends that you use a 0.2 µm or
smaller pre-filter.
