Installation
Making Measurements
To create a reference background:

Perform a sample analysis. If the background is within the recommended value (less than
2 x 10

) you may select this file as your reference background.

From the
Run
menu select
Run Cycle Options
( Figure 2.18 ).

Select
New Reference Background
.

From the dialog box select the file you want to use as the reference background file. Click
Open
.
The background from the file you select will then be saved in the calibration files folder using
the following filename format: ZXBYYYY.$ls, where:
X = L for the ALM
U for the ULM
M for the MLM
P for the Tornado DPS
Y = the last four digits of the optical LS 13 320 bench serial number
