be conducted and documented accordingly.

After the module was replaced, ensure an unexpected starting by using external 
safety components (for example emergency stop device).

It is necessary to label defective components to indicate that they are defective. It is 
absolutely necessary to prevent defective components from being reused by taking 
measures in the scope of quality management on the user's side (see the chapter

If the controller was equipped with a module of a higher safety level previously (SAF-
002), and another module with a lower safety level shall be plugged (e.g. SAF-001),
