informs BIOS that the operating system
will handle the distribution of resources in

Reset configuration
data During booting, the assigned resources
are stored in Flash
(ESCD). Yes When the system is reset after leaving the BIOS
setup, all ECSD entries (extended system
configuration data) are deleted.

Secured setup
configuration This option protects the setup
configuration from interference from a
PnP operating system. Yes Prevents a PnP operating system from changing
