Configure usage of SIM cards based on binary input 1 state:

don’t care
– It is possible to use the SIM regardless to BIN1
state.

– Only use the SIM card if the BIN1 state is logical 1 – no
voltage.

0
– Only use the SIM card if the BIN1 state is logical 0 –
voltage present.

Use the following parameters to specify the politics of SIM cards switching in the particular
cellular module.

Default SIM card
Specifies the modules’s default SIM card. The router attempts to
establish a connection to mobile network using the default.
•
1st (3rd)
– The 1st (3rd) SIM card is default.
•
2nd (4th)
– The 2nd (4th) SIM card is default.
•
don’t care
– The first possible SIM card is used. Attempts
are made in order 1st SIM card, 2nd SIM card.
Initial State
Specifies the action of the cellular module after the SIM card was
selected.
•
connected
- establish connection to the mobile network af-
ter SIM card was selected (default).
•
off-line
- Go to the off-line mode after SIM card was se-
lected.
Note: If off-line, you can change the initial state by SMS message
only – see
SMS Configuration
. The cellular module will fall to the
off-line mode if any of the SIM cards is not selected, too.
Switch to other SIM
card when connec-
tion fails
If the connection to mobile network fails, the router will switch to
the secondary SIM card. The router will switch to the backup SIM
card if the router is unable to establish a connection to mobile
network after 3 attempts or the Check the connection to mobile
network option is selected and the router detects that the connec-
tion to mobile network has failed.
