Stop:
Stops the current running command.
Manual Control:
Enables the manual jog commands to be accepted.
Home:
Positions the antenna upright and initializes axis based sensors.
Stow:
Stows the antenna to the specified angular values.
Acquire:
Automatically points the antenna to the specified Target satellite.
Move To:
Moves to the requested pedestal coordinates.
Peak:
Performs peaking sequence using the current signal source.
Repeak:
Performs fine peaking sequence using the current signal source.
Track:
Performs the currently selected tracking mode. (option)
X Pol:
Moves the polarization 90 degrees from its current position.
5.7.1 Command Descriptions
The
Manual Control
command allows the user to move the antenna freely in any axis desired by way of
the Manual Control pane which is directly below the Command pane. Note that manual movement via
“step” requires a “Home” sequence first to initialize axis sensors.
The
Home
command initializes the motor feedback sensors (i.e. encoders and resolvers) needed for
precision movements and reads the compass. The acquire command will initiate a “home”
sequence before completing the acquisition if needed.
The
Stow
command moves the antenna to a predetermined position. This is generally based on the
model selected so the antenna and pedestal can be packed securely. The stow position is adjustable
through configuration parameters if needed. The details of these are located in Chapter 6.
