6.3.1 RSL Meter
Long name
Level
Type
Value Range
Documentation
RSL1 Noise Floor
4
Float
-100000 to 100000
Minimum value that indicates an RSL signal above noise
RSL Minimum Lock
Threshold
4
Float
-100000.0 to 100000
Default value: 50
Minimum value that indicates a lock with RSL
RSL Gradient Sample Time
4
Integer
0 to 60
Sample time for detecting the signal gradient
RSL Noise Sample Time
4
Integer
0 to 60000
Sample time in MS for detecting signal noise
RSL Com Port
4
String
-
The computer filename for the communications port used
RSL Com Port Settings
4
String
-
The communications parameters for the com port, in the
form of Baud, Data, Stop & Parity Bits (ie: 9600 8 1 0)
where parity values are 0 for none and 1 for even.
RSL1 Scale Factor
4
Float
- 100000.0 to 100000
Default value: 1
Value to Divide the rad A/D value to produce a sensor
value. The formula for producing a final value is: ((raw
number*10000)/scale factor)
The RSL power meter is used for broadband signal level detection. Aside from the RSL 1 noise
floor & lock threshold parameters, it is recommended that this device settings are changed only
under the guidance of AvL technical staff.
The
RSL Minimum Lock Threshold
value determines the Minimum signal strength reported for
detecting a lock signal from a satellite. When this level is reached during a modem scan, the system
will scan at
the slow speed.
The
RSL 1 Noise Floor
value determines the Minimum signal strength above which an RSL signal is
indicated.
