Coarse peaking Maximum Cycles
sets the maximum number of Coarse Peaking cycles that may be
completed before the process is terminated. This parameter insures that the antenna does not fall
into an “infinite do loop” attempting to satisfy the
Coarse Peak Signal Difference Threshold
parameter that may have been set too low for current conditions.
The
Coarse Peak Signal Difference Threshold
parameter establishes the success criteria for the
cyclical Coarse Peaking process. At the completion of each Coarse Peaking cycle, the final signal
level value achieved in the previous cycle is subtracted from the final signal value achieved in the
latest cycle. If the magnitude of that difference is equal to or less than the value of this parameter,
then the Coarse Peaking process is deemed to be complete. Else another Coarse Peaking cycle is
performed.

Fine Peaking Cycles
sets the minimum number of cycles that will be completed in the Fine Peaking
process regardless of any improvement made in antenna pointing (received signal level) at the
completion of each cycle.
