The AAQ Controller acquisition process contains up to three major processes: Scan, Coarse Peak, and
Fine Peak. Each process may be configured to use a specific device as the source for acquisition.
Devices available to be selected are based on a modules type system and are optional with the
exception of the RSL detector. The device options include; various modems, Beacon receivers and a DvB
receiver.
The controller has the capability to perform redundant acquisitions in the event the primary acquisition
process fails. This enables a three tier safety net that keeps the system operator from guesswork in the
field. If the secondary and tertiary tiers are not configured, they may be removed from the list on the
next application startup. Selecting “None” for all devices in a source group results in the skipping of that
section. The Green button allows second and third tier sources to be added.
