4.2.5 Command Pane

The Command Pane contains the main controls for antenna movement. Each control is an LED
indicator button with a descriptive label. When clicked the action associated with the control is
performed. When the controller is performing an action the associated control LED will become
active (green) indicating that it is the current command.

Stop
Stops the controller
Manual Control
Activates the manual control functions
Home
Moves antenna to the “Home” position, initializes sensors, and reads the
compass
Stow
Stows the antenna
Acquire
Acquires the selected satellite (Home must be completed first)
Move to…
Moves the antenna to a specific position (Home must be completed first)
Repeak
Finds the signal peak in accordance with fine pointing device
Peak
Peaks on the signal in accordance with coarse pointing device
Track
Tracks the signal in accordance with option specified
X Pol
Flips the pol 90 degrees to simplify “Cross Pol” testing
