5. Locate the Expansion View application and run it by double-clicking the icon.
6. Choose Graphic Slot Information from the Expansion Chassis menu. You can
display the same slot information in text format by choosing Text Slot
Information from the Expansion Chassis menu. The Slot Info windows show
slot information for both the Macintosh and the Expansion Chassis (see
Figure 28). For more information about Expansion View, see “Expansion
View,” in Chapter 5.

The Graphic Slot Info window should show the following:

If you have a Macintosh is a Power Macintosh 8100, Expansion View shows
the interface card in slot B, and slots C and D appear as duplicates
(indicated by a circled D on the slot).

If you have a Macintosh is a Quadra 950, Expansion View shows the
interface card in slot D, and slots A, B, C and E appear as duplicates.
•
If you have a Macintosh is a Quadra 650, Expansion View shows the
interface card in slot D, and slots C and E appear as duplicates.
If your system displays the correct slot information, your Expansion Chassis is
installed correctly. If not, see “Chassis Troubleshooting,” in Chapter 6, for
information on resolving any problems.
