2. Face the front of the Macintosh, press your palms on either side of the cover,
and pull it toward you. Lift the cover off the chassis.
Installing the Interface Card
The Expansion Chassis interface card extends the Macintosh NuBus outside the
computer to the chassis. This adds more NuBus slots and allows you to install
additional NuBus cards in the chassis.

Handle the cards by their edges and top corners. Avoid touching the connectors
or components on the cards.
To install the interface card:
1. Arrange your hardware so that the Macintosh and the Expansion Chassis are
located within 12 inches of each other with the chassis on the right, as you face
the front of the hardware. The interface cable is only 20 inches long and you’ll
need to allow approximately 4 inches on each end for the cable to bend and to
avoid damage.
