Connecting the SCSI Cable
Connect the SCSI cable that attaches the Avid disk drives to the SE IV SCSI card
(see Figure 7). This is a 68-pin high-density D connector. Tighten the thumb
screws to secure the connector. For more detailed information on connecting disk
drives, see the manual for the particular device in the Avid Hardware binder.

Be careful not to bend any of the pins in the connector on the cable as you make
the connection.
Connecting the Audio Cable
Connect the audio cable to the SA 4 audio card (see Figure 7). This is a 68-pin
high-density D connector. You’ll hear the latches click into place to secure the
connector. For more detailed information on connecting audio cables, see Installing
Audio/Video Products in the Avid Hardware binder.
