Connecting the Video Cables
Connect the video cables to the card. On the card the input
connector is on top and the output connector is on the bottom. Tighten the thumb
screws to secure the connectors. For more detailed information on connecting
video cables, see the Installing Monitors and Installing Audio/Video Products manuals
in your Avid Hardware binder.
Connecting the 3D Effect Cable
3D Effects is an option that you may have as part of your Avid system. If you have
this option, the Expansion Chassis has a raised cover.
•
If your chassis does not have the 3D Effects option, you can go to “Testing the
Expansion Chassis” on page 16.
•
If your chassis has the 3D Effects option, use the following instructions to
connect the cover to the Macintosh.

The 3D Effects cover is a SCSI device that attaches to the Macintosh built-in SCSI
bus. To connect the 3D Effects cover:
1. Locate the 25-pin male to 25-pin male SCSI cable. It is approximately 30
inches long.
2. Attach one end of the cable to the SCSI connector on the 3D Effects cover.
Tighten the thumb screws to secure the connector.
